Just Keep Going_Quagmire was presented at The Wandering Room, an artist-led space. I had planned to suspend the large tangled mass of Yarn from my studio, but the low ceiling did not feel right; the Ma (interval) was not there.
Instead I placed the mass on the floor and began to pull threads from it, letting the Yarn travel as it spoke to me, meandering as far as the corners of the restroom. The life force of the work felt more contained than in the studio, yet it was undeniably there, playing with the edges of the site with a quiet, stubborn autonomy.
