At Testing Ground, I set out to make a work directly about the disaster, intending to call it Just Keep Going: Disaster. I could not finish it. When the work finally took form, I found myself quietly renaming it Just Keep Going: Life.
Radiation is invisible, and making something that looked like a hazard felt like a lie about the experience itself. I moved away from that attempt, looking instead for what I began to call a shimmering truth: something fragile and delicate that refuses to be easily categorised or consumed.
The pieces that emerged in this quiet space remain some of my most cherished works. I chose to keep them largely unshown, to protect their integrity.
