Just Keep Going_Layers of Life, 2018, with Zeljko Radic (animation)

Just Keep Going_Layers of Life was made in collaboration with Zeljko Radic, who created the animation, for the West Projection Festival. During the day the Yarn was a grounded, tactile presence in the site. At night, reconfigured by projection, it became an ethereal form of light and shadow.

What had begun as an attempt to make an invisible disaster visible had quietly become a celebration of the layered vitality of the present. The work suggests that being alive after a disaster is polyphonic: humans, non-human beings, built structures and the wind all occupy different, shifting layers of the same place, some tangible and grounded, others fleeting and translucent.
