For Just Keep Going_Difference, part of The Other Project X at The Other Art Fair, I installed the Yarn at the entrance and in a booth, with a written invitation for visitors. I asked them to reflect on their lives, their comforts, their communities and the trees, birds and insects around them, and to add their own uniqueness by tangling, knotting or hand-knitting a strand of Yarn into the universe of others.
As I watched the many individual strands intertwine, my body moved towards an ease I had not realised I was looking for. The effort to justify my presence through a single, perfect line began to dissolve. The work no longer rested on my shoulders alone; my own Yarn became simply one among many.
